DESCRIPTION
The ACASOM 868MHz TX-Bypass Extender is a specialized receive-path amplifier designed to enhance the sensitivity of your Helium or LoRaWAN gateway without amplifying the transmit signal. This unique device applies a selectable gain only to the incoming receive (RX) chain (default RX=12dB), while the transmit (TX) path operates in a low-loss bypass mode (≤1.3dB insertion loss). Featuring an exceptional ultra-low noise figure (≤1.2dB), it significantly improves your system's ability to hear weak distant signals, thereby maximizing Proof-of-Coverage and network reach. The unit is powered exclusively via a Bias Tee (included) and is available in two robust connector types: SMA (default) and N.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT RX GAIN
Selecting the appropriate receive gain is critical to optimize performance and avoid receiver overload:

  1. For Rural / Low-Density Areas: If you have fewer neighboring miners, choose the higher RX = 12dB gain to maximize sensitivity for distant signals.

  2. For Urban / High-Density Areas: If you are surrounded by many miners, select the lower RX = 8dB gain to prevent overloading from strong nearby signals and improve overall stability.

  3. Custom Gain Needs: For other specific gain requirements within a 6-17dB range, please contact us for a custom solution.
